India is a country bestowed with amazing talents in all arenas. Be it Sports, Bollywood, Small Screen, Literary, Technology, NASA, Politics and the list can just go on. Just name the field and you have atleast one Indian making us proud.

I so love my country and I hope one day I too succeed in making my country proud of me; even though I am just an insignificant soul in a large sea.

Adding to the achievements list is the 19 year old hoopster Satnam Singh Bhamara, the first ever Indian to get drafted into the NBA (National Basketball Association) by the Dallas Mavericks. He is the 52nd pick in the 2015 NBA draft.
Bollywood has become ecstatic and has been celebrating the news with gusto.
Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has always been a basketball enthusiast and recently played in the NBA All Star Celebrity match as India’s Goodwill ambassador of the league, congratulated Satnam Singh on various social media platforms.
The Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan also congratulated Satnam and NBA India on Twitter.
Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, Dino Morea, Neha Dhupia, Diya Mirza, Vishal Dadlani and VJ Nikhil Chinapa were among the others who congratulated Satnam saying it’s a proud moment for India!

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar led the former and current sportspersons in congratulating the Punjab lad for his achievement.
“I am very happy for him. It is a big achievement by an Indian sportsman and we are all proud of him. I would like to wish him all the best for the coming season and his career. I am sure the entire nation will support him,” Tendulkar told the media.

Satnam himself was thrilled, “The feeling is of course unreal but it has happened and I feel that my entry will certainly open the doors for many aspiring basketballers in India to dream big,” said an elated Satnam to Indian journalists on a conference call from the US.

Way to go Satnam! We have great expectations from you and are certain you will continue making us proud.
