Love & Hate – At its best!

Tanu weds Manu Returns
Arguments, verbal spats, ego clashes and disagreements are common amongst all married couples. Infact like they say – “Little tiffs strengthen the bond of love”. The real life scenario is replicated in the reel life story of Tanu (Kangana) and Manu (Madhavan); giving the movie a realistic spin.

All is rosy for the initial years of marriage and then slowly couples start reacting to each other, start testing each others’ patience and even worse at times take refuge in extra marital relationships.
But Tanu goes a step ahead and gets her hubby, Manu into a mental asylum by proving he is not in the right frame of mind; and thus commences the gripping tale of ‘Tanu weds Manu Returns’.

Even the most serious situations are enacted beautifully and there is a tinge of humour in every scene. Kangana and Madhavan have proved their mettle once again and I couldn’t help giggling throughout.
In this romantic comedy, Kangana dons twin roles where on one side she is the stubborn and strong headed Tanu married to Manu Sharma, the doctor; while the second role of hers is that of a Haryanvi girl. This girl, Kusum is a state level sports player, who falls in love with Manu Sharma. Apart from the similarity in appearance the two characters are poles apart.
The 2 hours 12 minutes reel journey takes the audience through lots of twists and turns; hilarious yet gripping. Other characters (Raja Awasthi – Jimmy Shergill, Puppy – Deepak Dobriyal, Payal – Swara Bhaskar), from the first part are back here, with equal charm like the first part; making the movie perfect in every way.
The 2nd part is even better than the first part as you get two Kangana Ranauts to entertain you. She has delivered both her avatars with utmost perfection and you won’t be able to wipe the silly grin off your face as you watch her jump from one avatar to the other with ease and expertise.
A few throw-away one liners makes it even better. My favourite was –
“Hum zara bewafa kya hue, aap toh badchalan hogaye”!! This is an arrow that Kangana throws at Madhavan and I almost screamed – Wah! Wah!! Hats off to writer Himanshu Sharma for these ‘cherries on top’!

Kangana proves yet again that she can carry any role with the same charm and expertise and comes out as most convincing every time. Kudos to the team of Tanu Weds Manu Returns!

Kangana, I salute you! You have rocked the movie and are getting better with every role.
